Is it possible to find quality specialty coffee outside of a bag of beans? Convenience coffees can be found in the refrigerator section at your local grocery store and are sold at your favorite specialty coffee shop. Now you can have amazing coffee experiences even if there are no cafes nearby! But what are the differences between these brews? How do they affect the flavor in the cup?
This class will focus on alternative convenience brewing – anything that doesn’t involve opening a coffee bag and plugging in a grinder. We will discuss the major styles of convenience brews and cover the pros and cons of each one. We will also talk about their impact on the cup and on the environment. There will be a tasting exercise where we will experience these brews side-by-side.
