DMV Coffee exists in order to create a place for baristas to exist, learn, develop, and grow.
To that end we are dedicated in creating a safe, harassment-free event for everyone. This Code of Conduct is one tool that we will use in order to help create this space for everyone involved. The Code of Conduct covers all DMV Coffee Events (Event/Events) including, but not limited to: Throwdowns, Competitions, Happy Hours, Talks/Lectures, Town Halls, and Panel Discussions.
Everyone attending, participating (Attendee), sponsoring (Sponsor), or hosting (Host/Venue) any Event must agree and adhere to the following code of conduct throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all Attendees, Sponsors, and Hosts to help ensure a safe environment for everyone.

It also applies to unwanted sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of any Event, inappropriate physical contact, and unwanted sexual attention.
If you experience or witness harassment, threatening behavior, and/or other inappropriate conduct, you are strongly encouraged to promptly find the nearest Staff member for assistance.
If an attendee engages in harassing behavior, the Staff may take any action they deem appropriate. These actions may include, but are not limited to, warning the offender, expulsion from the event, and/or banning from any future Events.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone is being harassed or have any other questions, comments, or concerns, please contact a member of the Staff immediately. Staff will be pointed out at the beginning of each event to the attendees, so that they are easily identifiable.
Staff will be happy to provide escorts, contact local law enforcement, and/or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event.
If at anytime you feel that your personal safety or the safety of other is threatened, please contact 911.
We expect everyone to follow this code of conduct at all DMV Coffee related Events.
